A thought-provoking film on our food systems in the U.S. The New Orleans Food & Farm Network and The Crescent City Farmers Market are presenting a film on industrial food production and high-tech farming.

The New Orleans Food & Farm Network is co-sponsoring an exciting, thought provoking film Our Daily Bread, that gives a look into our extreme reliance on high-tech agriculture and our current worlds food systems.

The New Orleans Food & Farm Network will offer viewers opportunities in getting involved in rebuilding local sustainable food systems.

Please come to the Zeitgeist at 1724 Oretha Castle Haley Boulevard on January 12th-14th or the 16th-18th at 7:30 p.m. to learn why supporting locally grown food is important.

Having trouble finding grocery stores, restaurants and emergency food relief sites in your neighborhood? Check out the NOLA Food Map Project!

Food for Food's Sake

On Saturday, June 17th, 2006 join The New Orleans Food & Farm Network and Market Umbrella.org in dining out for Food Justice in New Orleans.

Local area restaurants and chefs have come together by donating 5% of their evenings profits to Food Justice programs if YOU eat out in supporting restaurants. Find the Food maps will be released to provide community organizations and returning residents a tool of where to find food in neighborhoods that lost most of their local food providers due to Hurricane Katrinas effects. This event is dedicated to improving access to fresh food and the quality of neighborhood life, one community at a time.

If you would like to eat out on June 17th supporting equal access to culturally appropriate food by dining out during Food for Foods Sake, a list for participating restaurants is available at www.noffn.org, or you can call (504) 363-105 for more info.

Backyard Food Gardens in Hollygrove

On Saturday, August 27th, 2005 join The New Orleans Food & Farm Network in installing backyard food gardens for residents in the Hollygrove neighborhood.

The New Orleans Food & Farm Network is a Food Justice organization whose mission is to provide food security through education, support for local growers who engage in sustainable practices and by working toward equal access to safe, nutritious and enjoyable food.
